I'm using a NEC-1300A and NEC-3500A. I must say, both are very good burners and they cheap. The firmware updates are super.
No need to buy a Plextor or any expensive thing. Save your money for the DVD-Rs

The Best dvd burner i know of is the liteon dvd burner it burns all dvd media and cds and read them too it comes with the nero suite i once had the sony dvd burner with its bundles that burn +rw media it worked fine but i wanted to burn on write once media.

The best is SAMSUNG DVD +- R/RW. It is very good. Rs. 3700
