I planned on hearing nothing but the new junk on the "God I'm Burning Star Apollo" or what ever its called. I havn't listened to that much, and don't like what I did hear. Luckily, I was wrong, They only played abotu 3 or 4 songs from it.
I personally love "Second Stage Turbine Blade", their first CD. And, they played the hits from it. It was pretty nice because me and about 4 other guys (Whom I never knew before hand.) were the only real ones who knew the old stuff, so we opened up and pit and had some fun.
I'm only 15, so seeing me in a pit seemed to be a spectical, so alot of the guys ended up being nice to me. But, to be honest, that pit was weak. The local shows in my town are more ****.
Avenged Sevenfold opened for Coheed. I'm sorry to any fans of Avenged Sevenfold, but its just not great. Yes, their gutairist was amazing, I'll give you that. My problem was, they came out looking like Satans children, and they start playing the most peppy gutiar solo I have ever heard. It sounded like something I'd hear in the theme song to a kids super hero cartoon.
The happiness didn't end there, the vocals sounded like Blink 182 or Greenday. It was not what I was expecting. When I said the pit for Coheed was weak, the Avenged Sevenfold pit was pretty much a gentle group hug.

So, over all, Coheed reigns as one of the most amazing bands ever. Avenged Sevenfold, not so much. They've been touring for a bit, has anyone got a chance to see them?
