I don't know about Opera but FireFox is definitely better than IE lol.

I like all the browsers. Firefox is my personal favourite because it has so many extensions, but IE7 BETA is catching up. Opera is a very good browser, especially now its free. I generally tend to avoid IE based browsers such as Avant and Maxathon because of the fact that they rely on IE, which is notorious for having plenty of security risks.
One thing that I think is good about IE6 is its builtin FTP support. I have only come across two browsers that could be used instead of an ftp client and they are IE6 and Mozilla Suite (at a push). Whilst I prefer to use a proper FTP client, IE6 is very good for a beginner just wanting to upload a website because of the way it behaves exactly like a regular folder. Someone new to FTP would find IE6 much easier to use than any proper FTP client, and it can do almost as much as a proper FTP client. Mozilla is a basic FTP client, supporting download and upload. I have yet to find an option to rename or delete files, which is why I added "at a push" in brackets. It is more difficult to use and so except in emergencies or when someone has it already open and just wants to upload one file Mozilla would not be a suitable choice as an FTP client.
All browsers that I have tried except IE7 BETA have FTP download support. IE7 beta is very disappointing when it comes to FTP support, as having praised IE6 so much for its FTP support, to see it broken in IE7 is not what I was expecting. If you go looking through IE7's advanced options, there is an option to show FTP sites as in folder view (like IE6). This is disabled by default and I found that enabling it doesn't have any effect

why haven't you included opera in your poll
opera is one the fastest browsers
i really really love opera
so i voted for 'others' which i hope includes opera

Well he did included others for like Camino.. and Opera.. and other stuff just like the choice says.
