about ftp in DirectAdmin

How to connect to my root ftp account using my root name? I have tried a lot variants, but.... ech, i have failed to connect

If some1 know why i'm not able to connect, please explain me how to connect :-/

One thing that made a difference in mine is if i put http://www.username.thesmokylounge.com I think I liked cpanel better....

OK, lixas,
I think you would have made a mistake of connecting your ftp client to smokyhosts. I would like to remind everybody that now onwards you are getting a subdomains of thesmokylounge.com and not of smokyhosts.com so just connect your ftp client to ftp.thesmokylounge.com with your username and password and you are through. Infact all this info is there in the email in which you recieved your hosting info.

Well it might just be a opinion from person to person, but somehow i feel directadmin is way better and easier to use than cpanel. It is just that people have got used to cpanel and they find it easier because they have already used it before. But directadmin has many more features and much easier to learn. I bet you will change your opinion once you get your hand on it.
