Thanks SHAdmin for getting the Points system for Posts back in the SmokyHosts forum. This will help us in getting the services from SmokyHosts a little easier than before.
But SHAdmin, I'd suggest that you should setup an Anti-Spam team so that all the members that post spam here for points to be deducted for the spam post points, and also setup a warning system so that each time a member posts a spam post he can be warned and when the warning level reaches certain level he can be banned or his account can be suspended, until he improves his post quality. This will ensure that the Forum has good quality content and more information for the present and future members.
another request admin, I'd suggest that you add the following two features to the forum,
* Module to Merge the posts when a user makes multiple posts consecutively, this will reduce the misuse of points.
* Add feature for the members to edit the posts so that they can correct the mistakes they've made.
* Or add a Report feature so that the member can report of any changes in the post contnet or title or about any spam posts so that an Admin or modeatior can take action, this feature is available in IPB.
The basic problem of actually putting your suggestions to effect is that none of the points module of vbulletin has a feature that deleting a post will delete the points that were credit for it. Everytime somebody makes a spam post, i need to manually first delete the post, and then manually remove the points that were credited for that post. This is the basic problem why i am unable to put up some such anti-spam team. The same is the reason even for not putting the post merging feature.
I dont think its a good idea to have -2 points when you post a thread in the Cpanel forum, its an support forum and shouldn't be - points if help is needed.

It is just a way to use your points
BTW, it does make sense that when you are asking for help, you give away 2 points, and those who help you will get 1 point!!
Will think further about this thing if too many people complain with a valid reason.

thats a cool idea, it would deduct points off of ppl who make double posts :P I like ur idea tho. haha and i like the warning system idea.
