All the free domains are registered for 1 year validity,

what are supposed to after that, Should we pay for it or is it enough to accmulate enough points for another year.

You are supposed to pay to renew your domain name. Points count is not valid for domain renewals.

what if u cant pay for the domain does it become inactive or will we start getting bills for it?

if you havent paid it for a certain time it will go back to the pool of available domains

If you do not pay to renew your domain name, it will get deleted and will go back to the pool of available domain names, which happens about 40 days after the expiry date.
