new Forum's?

maybe a upgrade from phpBB to a IPB forums? ive got some 2.2 Version files so maybe i can help out by letting you people use them? yeah sounds good.

But phpBB 3 Olympus is coming out soon and word on the net is that people say once they've tried phpBB3 they DONT want to ever go back to phpBB2 so Yeah im looking forward for phpBB3 so maybe you can upgrade to that.

We are migrating the phpbb script of smokyhosts.com forums to vbulletin and the migrating will finish within the next 48 hours time.

I have already tried phpbb olympus, and it indeed is going to drive away all competition, however it is too far off from its first stable release, and i dont wish to wait till then.

i guess the migration, is part of the new plans you were talking about, great move, am i still a mod, or don't you need help anymore, i'm asking since you haven't added any mods yet, anywayz, congrats on the move

We are expanding our business, and this migration is a part of it. You will be able to see many more changes to come over next few weeks, guess i would prefer keeping them as surprises though

Currently after the migration, i am stilll checking out whether or not everything is back to stable, once sure, you will get back your moderation rights.

Its not gonna be too long before it comes out i hope. On the phpbb site alot of the senior members in area 51 are predicting some time in the next few months even while there are a few sceptics that are saying it wont come out for aloing time. Beta 4 (what it is at right now) will hopefully be the last Beta and the next realse will be rc1 if things are going right.

True i had enquired about it, however it is not still wise enough to put a script onto a live environment with thousands of members and tens of thousands of posts by the first stable release iteself (which itself i dont think will be atleast before March, my guess).

That it is true i guess i just wish it would come out i've been waiting for awhile and its going to be a mjor part of my site when it does come out. I havent been able to try more then a demo that someone set up on the forum back in beta 2 but still i fell in love instantly.
