Well, there's wikipedia--the online encyclopedia--and a lot of people have created "wikis" for specific topics. They're like mini-encyclopedias for one topic.

but can somebody explain how it works?
i mean is it safe if different people are creating articles or topics
they should have access for files so i think it could be thread.

I didn't know wiki stood for that. If you want to do a wiki site, go to wikipedia'as site. There's a notice at the bottom with a link to the software for the site.
