Sorry to burst people's bubbles but Runescape has about roughly 1,000,000 active accounts that play over a period of 4 months. Which most people have 2 or 3 accounts so your actually looking at about 333,000 to 500,000 actual people who play online if that much. I guess around 250K Players tops.
World of Warcraft is and will be the Biggest Online Game for a while with a total of 6 Million Accounts playing World Wide. Yes that's a big number and don't ask me how many servers they got because my answer is ALOT.
Guild Wars I would have to say ranks in 2nd or 3rd place in size but I do not believe it is anywhere close to WoW. Runescape is a crummy 3D Game that lacks drive or inititive. Any game that takes 3 to 4 years to beat playing constantly for 18 hours a day for those years to reach the maximum level. That is why most people quit RS after reaching 100 - 110 mark. I have a level 102 Account and trust me after playing some of the game's I have played on my computer Runescape seems like Counting Sand, I actually play it when I'm not tired so that I can fall asleep faster :P.
I played for 4 Years and still never made it past 102. I still play every once and a while but anyone who says Runescape is the best game, or the biggest game is straight playing you. DO NOT TRUST ANY RUNESCAPE CHEAT SITES! They will hack you up one way and down the other, most sites have ways of Automatically downloading a Keylogger to your computer without you even knowing it, and trust me RS Accounts ain't all they will aim for, your Credit Card aswell.
To those who play Runescape, good luck and if you make it to 126 I will personally hand you a Blue Party Hat, because as long as I dont own one, not many people will make it there. Look at Ze NO LIFE Zima, Maxes everything he can out withing 3 weeks. Now ain't that something, must really have nothing better to do than play a half decent game for 20 hours a day. Does he even work? I bet he dont have a girl. Dont get hooked like him, or you will be a sad and miserable person for a very long time.
No I am not thrashing Runescape it's an ok game just I would invest my money elsewhere, because for $5 a month it's a rip off.
