Desktop 1 - Windows ME with an XP upgrade that I have not installed, due to laziness. It seems like yesterday when ME came out. Desktop 2 - Windows XP installed. Laptop - Windows XP.

i would like to give linux a try but unfortunately i am afraid of some incompatibility issue.

I prefer linux,
Linux is way much more better and reliable than windows.

Well I voted windows becasue I am using windows but a modified one. THis creates an extreamly hard enviroment for adware and viruses to operate. Also it incresses the preformance by 60% and my lag factor is like 10 compared to regular windows witch is 45(whew). YOu can find modifed copys of windows on the web but mine is my own making so no one will get it hehe.

I have both FreeBSD and Windows O/S on my dekstops.
I used FreeBSD for applications like IRCD, Web Server, mysql, etc. Pretty much any software related to server.
I used windows mainly for games and multimedia (including my laptop).
So I'm pretty happy with both O/S
