Yes, I did like it when Steam did not run it, it seemed to run MUCH quicker on my laptop. But oh well, it's either play on Steam or not play at all.

There is another game which is called counterstrike 2d which you can download at http://www.download.com. It is a birds eye view. Go ahead and download it.
