I don?t really know the diferrence between them...
But tell the one you recomend for novice or beginners???

PHP 5 is nothing but modification of PHP4.3 with some more features, and some fixed bugs. You can find the exact changes made in PHP5 in the **** at

For novices,I would suggest PHP 4 as it has less functions and therefore is easier to learn,so grab a book on PHP and start reading..
