You heard me right - There's a FREE XHTML 1.1 editor at this link:
http://xstandard.com/default.asp.
After reading about XStandard Lite, I wasted no time in downloading it to my computer. That was some months ago and I haven't yet got around to testing it out!
I guess I just like to manually code my sites...

Manually coding works much better than i.e Frontpage...
This editor seems good to me, so I'm downloading it...
Thanks for the link, pryj...
SHadmin - It works if you remove the . at the end

Well, i guess it might be a great program, but i will still recomend frontpage to this one. Coz although it has many more interface laguages than just english, but except that Microsoft Frontpage leads it in many more features.
What do you people think??

I try to refrain from MS products to as little as possible..
I use HTML-Kit for everything, HTML, CSS, PHP, JS even Java and ASP are easily editable.. It even comes with all the latest W3C spec's too..
http://www.chami.com/html-kit/ - Check it out..

Resol, not convinced?
Let me break it down, I don't know your level of expertise with HTML or XHTML so I'm going to assume you know the basics. The main reason I like FrontPage is the ease of it. If i need to write code, I **** a tab on the bottom that sends me to my page in code. If i decide i dont wanna look at code anymore and type while looking at it like it will turn out, I **** the normal tab. The simpleness of it appeals to me, as i am a newbie myself with any language other than HTML. If you can operate a word proccesor, you can operate Frontpage with ease.

why don't you use dreamweaver? i know i used to use frontpage too but when i learned to use dreamweaver i've never used frontpage again.. its so much easier and cuts time in half to make a page.. however i hear theres a bug with dreamweaver mx 2004 .. but i use dreamweaver MX and so far i cant complain at all.. if u must pay for something at least pay for something worthy..
oh i hear about another text editor thats free.. its
http://www.context.cx i havent used it much (as you probably guessed i'm totally hooked on dreamweaver).. but i hear its pretty good ..
