I want to create a login/logout thing for my website so that dose any one know how i can do that. I also want it to display there name once login.

I suggest you look for CMS script like xoops which suit your need and do much better job than you can imagine.

Yes, xoops is free to use with its open license. You might need to try with soops if you familiar with asp.

I personally like to use xoops and it has quite a lot of addon, just search over google and you will find a lot of them.

Do you mean you want exactly the same as what you have linked above? It doesn't look like simple membership login, it has lots of modules with it.

Try google Content Management System, there are various selections available and most of them are free to use with lots of add on modules for your to customize it.
