Does this really work? I mean most of these "make money free" sites are just phishing scams which steal your personal information and send it out to (to quote BYOND's user information page) potentially evil and annoying marketers.

As josephnm said, that has already been answered, the sites I use are real sites, no scam. You will get paid, there are a lot of scam sites out there.
