I would like to see a website to provide up to date info about bicycle trails in the us and advice for creating interstate routes.

That's a good idea. You could tie in Google Maps and allow users to submit all their own trails and guides, so that it would keep growing, and be easy for everyone to access. Could be easily done with a wordpress membership site and Google Maps integration. Then you could star your favorite maps from other users, print them out and go riding.
