The best you'll find, I think is CoreFTP Pro. you can get it at coreftp.com. If you're running windows 98/ME make sure you get the ANSI version, if you're running 2000/XP/Vista, then dont get the ANSI version. Pro version comes with a 30 day free trial, then you have to buy, or you can use Light Edition (LE) forever and not have to pay. the features in the two versions are as follows:
Standard (registered user) licensing features:
  • Fast multiple threaded connection options
  • Download acceleration (Multi-part downloads as of ver 1.2a)
  • File Synchronization
  • Thumbnail image viewing
  • Connect Manager for connecting to high traffic sites
  • Ability to customize screen setup
  • Recursive chmod/timestamp, and other advanced options
  • Splash screen delay removed
  • Unlimited email support and free upgrades
PRO licensing additional features:
  • Zip compression / decompression - zip up your files on the fly before transfer
  • Scheduling of transfers and templates - for web page updating or backup to ftp servers
  • Encryption - decryption of files for extra security
  • IBM Information Exchange (IE) support
  • GXS ICS support (in v2)
  • Templates for common or repetitive tasks
  • Additional utilities including Ping & TraceRoute
  • External program execution (for AV, etc)
  • Email notification of transfer status
  • No splash screen for command line tasks
  • Discounts on future products and free upgrades
  • Top priority support!
Here are the prices:
--> Single User PRO License, email support only ($34.95 US)
--> Single User License, email support only ($24.95 US)

You sound like a salesman for CoreFTP :D. Very convincing, I think I'll try it out. At the moment I'm using SmartFTP simply because it was the first thing which came up when I googled "ftp manager"

I am using FileZilla as it is user-friendly, fast and free. You can even use it without installing, just download thier zip file). Great for those who does not like installing to much programs on their system :)

Well,
If you don't want to download any porgrams,
You could always use Net2FTP
Or I think that the cPanel file manager is the best other than that
:D
But seriously the cPanel file manager has so many good things!
You can compress files, edit the source codes, normal edit,
SO many things! :D
GO CPANEL!!!
Wont be back till Sunday!

The only problem with net2ftp is that you have to give your account details to a 3rd party, just another security problem. I prefer to download.
