I had a Radeon 9600. It's not very good but then again I was in it for the price.

Nvidia has the best graphic card available. AMD is beginning to lose it's already losing market. The only good about AMD graphic card is that it is cheaper, and has more head room for overclocking.

Obviously if you are comparing the 6600GT to the 9600 this post has to be REALLY OLD! Which means people have been reinstating age old topics.

Radeon currently has the lead with the 2GB X2, and on the Spider Platform of the Quad Core AMD and 4x Graphics Cards you have the ultimate system. Of coure no one really needs that at this moment, but when the software catches up... then ooh boy the computer will be so much more advanced. I still prefer NVidia myself, so when NVidia comes up with the Dual GPU 2GB Graphics card then Nvidia will once again rule. You have to remember PS3 has an ATI GPU in it.. That kind speaks for itself.

I have an Leadtek 8400GS, it runs everything I've thrown at it, probably doesn't help that my processor sucks.

I'll be upgrading to Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5ghz and 2gb DDR2 ram, should run well.
