Anti-virus software is a waste of everyone's time and money. I saw an article recently which explains the problem of Anti-virus and why its not effective. Basicaly its all down to the fact that the main problem nowadays is Spyware, not viruses.

Bit Defender is good and it is not heavy on the machine and am using it right now. Another one is NOD32 which is also good. Both are the best when it comes to protection for your PC. Google it!
