I like VLC. I have had it for a while now, and whilst I don't use it often, its streaming options are quite powerful. I only wish that I had a faster network connection to be able to flawlessly stream DVDs across.

You can stream DVDs with VideoLan. The link is in the first post of this topic. You need a little experience with video formats, types and network options in general to get it to work. I find that the signal strenght of my wireless network is poor enough to disturb the quality of streaming videos unless I transcode them to a lower bitrate.

I'm not overly impressed with VideoLan. K-Lite Media Player all the way, baby. :D

VLC best video player ... i used till now... it takes less memory and works excellent with n number of video formats....

yes a nice program in a world of over hyped and over bloated media players.. I was using version 0.8.1 and see they are up to 0.8.5
There were a few problems with with certain avi formats so I'll try the new version today.
