FTP

Ok, how do these FTP Accounts work? Let's say these were my details for my FTP. (These are fake.)
Username: abc
Password: 123
URL:
http://xyz.thesmokylounge.com/
Ok, so if they were my details, how would I login? I am
really confused and need somebody to explain this to me. Thanks in advnace!

log into cpanel and **** on the ftp button. All the avaliable default login/pass are there.

FTP Account has a Username and Password so that you can use them in FTP Programs such as CuteFTP or any other one.
It allows you to upload/modify/delete/move your files between your computer and your server.
When it comes up you will want to make sure you put your files in the right folder. public_html I do not know what the other folders and files are and if you put them in the wrong spot they won't be displayed.

I would sugest useing cute ftp it is the easiest but does now have as many resources as other ftp managers.

I think filezilla is one of the best good features and free also enables ssl connection to your server (if it has it installed)......

you should use an ftp program like core ftp, it helps you manager your ftp, then you just put in all the info and it logs u in, then way easier and faster to load things from your comp to the file manager.

ok there is 3 ways, 1 hard 1 really hard and one easy
really hard:
Ftp.xyz.thesmokylounge.com/
--using your ftp this way is the hardest
Hard:
useing your filemanager from your Cpanel
-- this allows you to upload to diffrent directories and also delete.
Easy:
Using a Ftp program like Cute Ftp
1) install
2) run
3) a promt will come up type in a name for the connection
4) typ in ftp.xyz.thesmokylounge.com
5) type your user name and passowrd
6) clcik finnish
- this way allow direct acces to the folder directory and you can upload, download, edit, move, create using this method.
I personally sugest the hard way for you because it is more begginer friendly but if you need to do things faster and be able to do more use the easy method.
