i have a problem...and think that other users might have that :(
It would be cool if admins downgrade MySQL 4.1.14-standard => 4.0.25-standard

OR edit some line in MYSQL config - as described here - http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/old-client.html
or here http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=3663216

my problem was posted here - http://www.smokyhosts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1937

if the problem will not be solved i will not be able to host my statistics :(((((

THAT DOWNGRADE WILL NOT HAPPEN ON THE SMOKYHOSTS.COM SERVER. SMOKYHOSTS.COM SERVER WILL ALWAYS GO ONLY WITH THE LATEST AVAILABLE STABLE RELEASES.

Also, as you have quoted the link http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/old-client.html there it just says that that kind of error occurs on a mysql v5 not on a v4 database server. And also is clearly stated on that page that the database server must be newer than 4.1, and that is what is currently installed on the smokyhosts.com
