Anyone using Googles new product?

It is an addon for Google and allows you to search your computers files or the web. It's really fast and also very good.

I am a fan.

desktop.google.com

i know this product, and i'm not using any kind of search at all (even win's search) for my files, because my files are very well organized and i know what is where
If u use search, i think i agree with znad, that this add-on is very usefull

Its good, but the indexing takes too long.

As it acts as a background process, little cpu is spend on it, even when the comp is idling.

Maybe there should be an option to make it a important process.

I don't like Google Desktop search. I find it takes a while to actually perform the search anyway and the fact that it has to sit there consuming (albeit very little) resources means I am fine without.

When I had it installed (for about 5 months) I hardly ever used it, and when I did it took about 10 - 15secs before anything came up anyway, with my computer unusuable whilst the search was being performed.
