Evidence? It's all quite commonly in front of your eyes.
Just like the question of did a superior being create us or was it the big bang theory and through evolution we evolved the way we are.
Downing people's beliefs are like downing a whole religion together. We all have a soul according to my beilief and what happends if that soul is casted out of it's body before it's due time and before it is able to complete it's one task on this planet. If you don't believe if ghosts I know one location you should visit and never again will you say you don't believe in ghosts. In North Carolina in America, there is a place known as the Devil's Backbone, yes a common name for many places but this place in particular is a phenomonal experiance. It is an abandoned graveyard for it is so unsafe for anyone to walk onto it's grounds, it once was a hanging ground for back in the slavery times when America did some pretty horrible things. Once a group of blacks overran a white crowd, persumably KKK members, and out of hatful rage massacured over 30 some people. The leader of the blacks who overran the whites took most the lives that day and was eventually brought to hanging, which was originally planned until his followers decided to save him. He wasn't just hung, he was severely beaten, tortured, and burned alive, then finally after several days of this torture he was hung, but his neck didn't break so he suffocated to death.
He was full of so much vengance they put chains ( an old method of keeping spirits in the grave ) around his grave and marked his grave with demonic signs letting people who see it of the dangers that it holds. A group of misfit kids was goofing off one day and decided to play a prank by cutting the chains of the grave. Non of them kids were ever seen alive, as you travel down the road near the graveyard, you are only permitted to drive on one side, because if you drive on the other side then the ghost will attack your car. Pictures and testimonies of melted panels, ripped open doors and much more have been noted in North Carolina. Wether you can find anything on the net or not is a mystery to me. One of my friends use to live in North Carolina and witnessed someone ( stupidly ) cross the boundy that was set up by local law enforcements, that person was obilverated not one single piece left of him just a huge pool of blood.
I have not witnessed this but the way he talks about it doesn't seem like it is making it up. But please do not say people who believe in ghosts are making this up, just because you havn't seen one doesn't mean you can cut those people who have down. If you don't believe in ghosts search the internet for local ghost sightings near your area, visit an old battleground of some sort during the midnight hours. Search for them, not all are visable but thier effects are.
I used to live in a house when I was 5, that I never really encountered this problem nor did my younger brother. But for anyone sleeping on my bunkbed, everyone came off screaming cause they had a horrible nightmare. My older brother, 2 of my cousins and a few of my brother's friends said they saw faces in the windows staring at them once they woke from the nightmare. Now like I said neither me nor my younger brother witnessed this as the bunkbeds were ours, and we didn't really have many nightmares, unless I read goosebumps or some book about ghosts ( once even thought I would internally combust ) Was a wierd experiance but kept having nightmares I would. Some say the beds were haunted and some say the house was haunted.
My mother was in the house taking a shower one day, I suppose this was before I was born, but she hears the front door open, and close. She hears a person walking through the house to her bedroom, well when she got out, she looked around and the front door was locked, so was the back door. And no one was in the house, amazing. Also someone said something about a blue mist coming out of the bathroom but I believe it was my fathers mother, who is a bit on the crazy side if she is even still alive.
But not every ghost will haunt you, most ghosts can and will co-exist with humans. Some even like to play tricks on you lol.
Prankster-Ghosts, let's say for instance you put the toilet seat down, and turn around to do something in the mirror and when you go to sit down you fall in the toilet lol. How did the seat get lifted?
Ever think you put something somewhere and you just can't find it? You could of sworn you placed it on the table or the counter, but for some reason it is missing and you search everywhere but you can't find it. Then you give up, and the next thing you know it's staring you dead in your eyes, most people blow it off like omg I can't believe how dumb I was it was under my nose the whole time... it really isn't the fact it was there the whole time...
This is one for the taking, every be driving down the road and out of no where your car starts acting up? It doesn't do it regularely but it acts up.. Then you take it in to the shop and they say it's in perfect running condition? Lol.. it really is in perfect condition.. I also like the part where when you get out of your car you have your music turned off but when you get in and start it up, its full blasted.
For those who love to game, ever be doing something so simple and out of the blue your computer restarts? Then you go to find something to fix it, but the solution to the problem (i.ex: drivers, hardward configurations, software problems) no problem can be found in anything you have but the problem is really happening. But no where can any tech guy tell you how to stop it from happening.... there's seriously nothing wrong with your computer.
If you think your house is haunted and you want to capture footage of it, you cannot just regularly camcorder it.. You have to have NightVision to be able to see it properly, and you can only see it if your playing your camcorder at 1/2 speed. Now many people have figured ways to fake pictures of ghosts like using Photoshop and adding some white blur then printing the picture using a Kodak Program and super gloss ink, makes the photo look original, but it isn't.
If you happen to capture footage of a ghost, please share, and I know when people find photos on other sites and post them in place of thier own. Be sure to get a shot of you.. in the same area you spotted a ghost, not with the ghost in the pic, but a second photo. To authenticate this occurance.
Also for anyone who doesn't believe in ghost there is a 4th Dimension in our reality we are unable to see. I was watching discovery channel and they had a **** of this creature that flys through the air as there is no gravity, they actually swim through the air as fish in the sea. Every once in a while people get weird photos with a white blur in thier image, it is the creature, invisable to the **** eye. But they are there, and they do exists. Just because we can't see them doesn't make it fake. Like for instance you can't see your conscience, not many people know how it is even caused, but we have it, the ability to feel wrong from right, and feel the reprocussions from our actions, there is no **** data that proves a conscience exists, but we all know it does. Where does it come from?
Many things you can't locate or find, there is no explination of. But it's all in the mind to choose to believe or not, just cause you say you don't believe doesn't mean you believe. If you say I have to see one in front of my eyes to believe, means deep down you know they are there just want to see one so you can say you have seen one, but then people who are in your situation now, tell you your full of it. It's an ongoing cycle of belief and disbelief, don't disbelieve something just because you havn't seen it, take other's into consideration. If you want to see one, find a place where you can, it makes you a believer just waiting for the opputurnity to see one.

For me there is no simple yes or no answer to that question. I have had one (that I can remember) encounter.
It was Christmas day, 2001, and there are bushfires everywhere in the Blue Mountains (west of sydney, Australia). One of them was particularly close to where my mother and her siblings grew up. Anyway, there was a picture of my uncle Paul (who had died earlier that year) at a house of a relative a few hundred kilometers away. This picture fell over, without wind, without anything whatsoever acting upon it, at exactly the same time that the house that he had grown up in was burned to the ground. This is strange by itself, but also at that exact same time I suddenly went cold, really cold, for no reason. Mind you, I was over 1000 kilometers away...
