I use Edit Plus too but I'll check this notepad++ since it's free. Thanks for the tip!

notepad++ is what i used in the past but i guess i will look at the other programs, When i first got into editing i used to use just notepad... so yeah anything is better then that

Well, you can use any text editor, like Notepad as PHP editor.

But obviously syntax highlighting, checking and function reminders are handy.
Try PHP Designer 2005

I LOVE "PHP designer 2005"
Got the basics, and some more advanced, and it has line numberation, wich is my #1 requirement, its fast and reliable too

As far as i remember, dreamweaver can edit php files with nice syntax highlight and other goodies :)

wow.................i never knew that Lixas, maybe i didnt still try out any of its latest versions of it. The last time that i had used dreamweaver was about some 2 years ago, and then it was only a html editor.

Maybe i shall update my software knowledge again :)
