Just Download phpbb and upload it on your host or u could just go to http://www.getphpbb.com and phpbb will host it for u but u cant add new template and stuff it just a basic regular forum

how do i install a free invision board to a stie. i already have a IPB. but i guess i can use phpbb

If you have all the files then there should be a "docs" folder with the proper instructions, I recall from memory that you need to upload everything in the upload folder, chmod certain files and run the installer.

The actual instructions may differ.

u have alot types of that phpbb and ipb and vb .... u can choose one of them

why do you need another one when you already have IPB
if you really want to install invision you better remove your old forum
you might have problems if you do not do so
this is a security issue

There's no free invision anymore. There are pre-hosted free services like http://www.invisionfree.com, but you can't host it yourself. PHPBB is free, though.
