Hello,

I'm moving one of my bigger sites to smokyhosts, but i have some problems...

1) I was using php5, and apparently i can't upload a .htaccess file to the server, so i can't change the handler to read them as php5 files.

2) I can't upload the database, it has 70mb aprox. and i can't do it ...

Alright, so anybody else knows what can i do here? =P
Since the messages still don't get to my inbox xD

I'm using Plesk, not CPanel, and i think i figured it out. I'll post here again if something comes up.

(Search for " Creating a mail forward (redirect) ", since i can't directly link it.)


I actually did it by myself, but i did exactly that, and i found that tutorial while searching to see if i did something wrong, but ...

Apparently there's another way to forward email than using the Plesk or CPanel option. As i tried plesk to do it and didn't work (There's another post just below this one asking for help =P) i decided to try with the domain registrar. But they said this:

I'm hosting my website at SmokyHosts, and i'm using Plesk as a CP.
The problem is, when i got to email, and set my email to forward to my gmail account, it doesn't do it!

I'm pretty sure the settings are correct, so i don't know what may be wrong.


I hope you can help me with this ...

I couldn't access due to the firewall apparently, and the domain problem has been almost fixed... i can't access if i put the www. before the domain, but with only: onimu.com i can access.

In that case, if i put them corectly it's kinda weird that my site still doesn't redirect to the VPS site...
It's been more than just a few hours already.

There's no edit button!?

Anyway, also, any ideas why i might not be able to access my webmin CP?, i'm trying to access through the IP address ...

I registered my domain somewhere else, so i changed the DNS to what i saw in the forum, but i don't know if it's correct:
NS1: ns1.smokyhosts.net
NS2: ns2.smokyhosts.net

But as it said .net, and the actual domain is .com, i'm not sure if that's right.

So, which ones are the DNS ...

I prefer winrar, it's been always there when i needed it haha =P
