How about a service status page? As someone who is now into his fifth hour of Downtime and the only method of getting a response from Smokyhosts is via email (which is OK until you actually remember you use your own server to route email) maybe the following
1) Advance notification (wherever possible) of downtime
2) A status page where you can see whats happening
3) The ability to raise tickets within Modernbill
I am still waiting on a response to both a ticket and a PM to SHAdmin .....

As far as opening and answering tickets when the server downtime is concerned, you can always do it from our support portal at http://support.smokyhosts.com
