connections site for university intranet

hi,
i'm going to have to make a student portal for my university intranet. i'm using joomla as my content management system, and with the community builder add-on for making the connectios thing work, what else could i add to make it a cool place for students?

use the joomla smf bridge it integrates with cb and they all work together quite well. That is what i am using on my site.

thx man, one other query, i was thinking of using vbulletin as the forum software for it, does joomla have an add-on which allows cb to work together with vbulletin [with buddy lists and everything]/

yes i ever seen about it but seemd it is commercial one
but sorry, i forgot the link... later i will send here if i got it...
or you can use FIreboard for forum in joomla
it is integrated with joomla and CBuilder
