2 Domains off one hosting account

Post by barnes »

I was wonder if it is possible to have two separate domain names going to the same hosting account, but differnt pages. If so how?

I have my main page of my smoky hosts account set up to http://www.thelowtech.com, but now I want to start up a new site, http://www.greenresearchlabs.com. Any ideas?

Of coarse you can, use "Parked Domains" to setup your domains.

If you want to use 1 hosting account for 2 sites (difference) you can use addon domain.
only 1 sites but 2 domains can access, you can use parked domain.

I got this figured out. For future refrence:

First, set up your first domain as a parked domain. I have my domain parked as TheLowTech.com

All extra domains will be added from Add-On Domains. GreenResearchLabs.com, DoucheaDay.com, and HorrorLabs.com are all add on from my account.

Hope this helps someone.

How about using one hosting account, two domains, but the same files?

if u've 2 domains and a single hosting account, and you the domains to point different sites then add the domains as addon domains.

if you want both the domains to point to the same page add them as parked domains.

I can't afford even one 'real' domain to park onto my account :( As far as I've found so far, SmokyHosts is the cheapest, and I still can't afford it, I don't even have a paypal account because I need to be 18, and my parents NEVER do online shopping :(
