If they will won't work. You can damage rams by overheating.

there's also a unique beep to indentify that the RAM is out of order, may be due to some virus attack or sometimes due to physical faliure like the problem of electricity voltage.

Also when installing ram, you should use matching pairs. E.g. 512+512= 1gb. Not 512+256.

Yeah I had only 256 MB RAM and I think like 1 year ago I have bought a 512 MB is that bad?

hmm that doesnt matter, since i've been using over the years different size of rams. And when u get a ram virus just unplugged your ram memory and set it back and start your pc and everything will work fine.
