Flash is great, you can use effects, animations, and basically make anything you want! It surely beats HTML and i use flash on my site.

personally...i think html is better than flash, but that's me because i don't really experiment with flash and my website is entirely html based. umm, flash does take some time to load and it's really hard to get good at it...but if you're really good at it, it can look really good. but some people don't have like macromedia thing and won't be able to view it, and most people aren't going to download it to look at your site. html does take some time to master, but it's easy after a while...the only thing you have to get good at is graphics =]

Also the robots of search engines can not find a valid link in your page and just ignore the whole page if you are using flash i think that we should combine them both to get the best from every one.

But anyway it depends on what kindoff website u wanna make.
