css is a simple way to change the design of many site with one file

css is usually used in style sheets to design the text, colours, links colours etc.
HTML is the code for the whole website

You don't really need to know about PHP, it's the server-language and unless your editing certain PHP **** then really don't worry about that. Get to know HTML & CSS and you'll be the web designer of the future!

If you will good know html and css, you will be able to create cool lookin' static pages, but i think that future belongs to server side scripting: php/asp and so on. Of course, at thirst you must tu know html and css

CSS makes it easier to change colors on all the pages at once instead of re-coding each page on at a time. Thay is why I like it :P
