I was just reading about a new broadband service being offered in the UK that gives users download speeds of up to 24 megabits per second, and upload speeds of up to 1.3 megabits per second. For £24 (US$ 43) a month. According to the info I read, that's a lot faster than other broadband services being offered by their competitors. I know it's a heluva lot faster than the broadband service I've got here in Australia.
I pay around AU$50 (US$38; £21.50) a month for ADSL with 256k downloads, 64k uploads. That's about half the speed of most broadband plans being offered here these days, but I keep my older, slower plan because I get unlimited downloads, and almost all of the newer, faster plans have download caps.
Before we switched to broadband, we were paying AU$17 (US$13; £7.50) for a 56k dial-up with unlimited hours and unlimited downloads.
What sort of connections are you guys using? And how much are you paying?
Cheers,
Wil
