I remember when I first got hosting, SmokyHosts had "NeoMail" and I liked it, I was dissapointed when it was removed, and I think it would be good if you were to add a mail system based off of NeoMail called OpenWebMail, it is more advanced, and easier to use, the link is http://www.openwebmail.org, the link for the latest version of the software is http://openwebmail.org/openwebmail/down ... .52.tar.gz

but I'd suggest that you can use Google Apps for Domains. ( http://www.google.com/a/ )
You can use your domain name if you own one or you can even use the default sub domain you get for your free hosting in smoky hosts to get a Google Apps service powered by GMail.
This will save you bandwidth as well as web space in Smoky Hosts, as the service offers you 50 mail accounts with more than 2GB of space each.
By this you can do a great help to the SmokyHosts servers by keeping a huge load off the server.
But still if you want to manage your own mail client you can go well with the email client like NeoMail or Squirrel Mail that comes with the cPanel.

Neomail had to be removed (basically was removed by cpanel themself) because it doesnt support the new maildir mail format. It only used to be worthwhile with the older mbox mail system.
As far as installing http://www.openwebmail.org/ is concerned, maybe you can ask the cPanel guys/staff to include it in their new versions, that is if it supports the new maildir format.
