Alternatively, to know your IP, you can do the following :-
If you are using windows, **** on start, then run and type cmd and press enter.
On the DOS prompt type ipconfig and press enter. THe result contains your ip address.

You might want to test that you actually are getting full speed broadband.

true...and it's best to test when the connection is idle.
