w3schools is really really good but lissaexplains is easier if you're starting otu

i learned html from my friends and also from htmlgoodies.com (if it is still around), if you really all the site and it is pretty easy to learn.

edit: yes the old site is still around

I began learning with htmlgoodies.com back in like 1995 - ish. It is a great way to learn, also when you feel comfortable with the html, you can always go on to his other tutorials such as, javagoodies.com and others
