yes, its is possible, i also saw such a things in some forums, but i realy dont know what kind of forum software it was, and what mods are installed there, but realy, i've saw it

When i will find something like that, i'll post

As a moderator of this section i say, do not reply to this topic like "yes its is possible" and no real help, or "wow, i didn't known that" Please post some links or info about a question

What is the point of doing this after all?
If they are hidden, how people are supposed to see it and reply?

It is basically meant so that any person wishing to see the valuable information which is hidden, first they will have to make a post/reply to that perticular thread and only then will they be able to unhide and get that information.

An indirect way to collect more posts :)

Simple method would be to do a SELECT DISTINCT userid FROM posts WHERE thread_id = thread_id (replace all table / column names and values with appropriate ones) and then comparing it against the current user ID. If the current user's ID is not present, refuse to display the information.
