Budget speakers

Post by Valiantheart »

Hey, I'm not very familiar with PC speakers but I could do with one now that I moved into dorm without a stereo set. I'm a bit low on budget so hopefully it won't burn too big a hole in my pocket. I am looking at Altec Lansing 121i. But I have no idea what's so different between the various models of speakers. Could anyone enlighten me?

Differences are :
- The bass section - good, bad, has volume control or not,...
- The MW - I dont know what it is called but it's all about how noisy can you make to disturb your poor neibourghood
- The looking - like small, big, black, white - the cover, wood, metal,....
- The number of small speakers like 2.1,5.1 or 6.1 the more you have, the better sounds you'll get.
- Finally :p they're different in prices .

I prefer to take Creative Speakers but now I'm out of money and only use my headphones T_T
never mind!
