Have seen a majority of them. I'd crossed out from the list such movies as Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Dawn of the Dead. But added American Story X, Requiem For a Dream, and Oldboy.

Lost in Translation is one of the more over hyped movies ever. YOu put Chinatown on there but have you ever seen LA confidential. Royal Tenenbaums wasn't great though Brazil was brilliant. Good the Bad and the Ugly should be on there as should be Last of the Mohicans.
so...in world war 2..the germans used tanks..and...they were...very important and...they um well they had very hmm i dunno well i had hmm ehh kinda good accuracy

Is this spam or what? Hey laermed, three words without a verb does not a question make. The word you want maybe is 'does' as in 'what does this mean?'

This isn't a bad list. There are some real gems in there. A few missing though.
I agree rupertb what about 'The Good the Bad and the Ugly' what about Peter Jackson's 'Lord of the rings' trilogy, what about 'Citizen Kane', what about Alfred ****'s '39 Steps' or 'Psycho'.

For me, classing 'Fight Club' and 'Back to the Future' as unmissable is a bit rich really when Peter Seller's movies seem to be totally overlooked. As for the Coen Brothers I'd pick Jeff Bridges in 'The Big Lebowski' over Nicolas Cage in 'Raising Arizona' any day.

Well started web_master.
