2GB Sandisk... Got it last christmas during the boxing day week for $30 (canadian). Though I don't use it too often, since all the progs I really need is putty, which I can always get online.

When I design my databases... I usually use pen & paper, and then made the databases using MySQLcc. I think it's easier for me to use pen/paper since I can always look at it while I begin planning out my code. I think you should give MySQLcc a try, it is a pretty useful tool to manage your datab...
